Yesterday's attire for a few hours at the beach...
I love all the cool hairpieces out there in the fashion world. Flowers, boho chains, etc. I am a sucker for head art. We go to the beach a fair amount because my hubby and stepson surf, and also we live so close to many beaches. I am always wandering around with my munchkins, and notice the lovely broken shell pieces covering the sand. People want full shells for their jewelry, but I think even the bits and pieces are wonderful. I decided to make my own "mermaid crown" with a little lace, a few full shells and then a bunch of shell fragments. I spray painted them and sealed them, then glued them tightly to a headband. I wish some of the local girls would sport these to their homecomings as an alternative to the traditional tiaras. Be bold, right? I am working on more today, and planning on getting my jewelry up on Etsy by the weekend!
Outfit details-Zara tshirt worn as a cover-up...sunglasses-target...shell headband made by merdy...bathing suit top barely shown j crew (an oldie but goody black halter that keeps my nursing gems nice and snug)...target slippas(i usually always wear my trusty havianas to the beaches around here because they are so sturdy with all the volcano rock, but my boys have hidden them somewhere)...these cheap target ones did the trick pretty well for on 3 dolla.
Happy Labor Day!!!
