REINVENTING MERDY: Wednesday's What I Wore...

We tried to make this shoot (as if I am experienced or special enough to say I had a photo shoot) fun. Keoni and my hubby were both a bit sarcastic and silly yesterday so we decided to use these in some of our pictures.

I have to online shop for most of my clothes. Kona is very limited in shopping choices. Pretty much Macy's and Target and a bunch of cute but often high price boutiques. I try to hit our Goodwill and other thrift stores when I can, but they are extremely hit or miss. I love a good online shop, but sometimes it can be frustrating because you wait so long for your package to arrive, if something doesn't fit you must wait usually another 2 weeks for a new size or replacement item. And Forever 21, which I sometimes feel embarrassed at my age to shop at...charges almost $14 dollars shipping to Hawaii. If something doesn't fit quite right from this brand, I normally just work with it because I end up losing money and time with shipping back and forth.

I really felt the pain of my online shopping dilemmas during this shoot. My F21 shirt is a beautiful color and so comfy, but quite big...probably would have returned it or exchanged it if it had been easier. I think that is what is great about these outfit posts. You can really re-look at what you put together and see what works and doesn't for you and your body type. I think when I wear this shirt in the future I will pair it with leggings or skinny jeans. Holla.

We are planning to move off island once my stepson is done with high school. We use to rent our guest house out, but sometimes that is more trouble than it is worth. We are saving money to remodel it for future renters, but in the meantime it is my crafting workshop and kids play room (oh wait every room in both houses is their play room)..they begged for this exercise bike at Goodwill. So funny, an exercise bike for toddlers. Keoni wanted it in the shot. Crafting mess behind me, sorry.
