Future...

feeling really uninspired today...so happy to have the husband home, but just a day when everything has gone wrong...nothing major, just a lot of little things that seem to give us all those headaches where the best thing to do is lay in bed, read a book, watch a movie, snuggle our pets or children...and possibly eat a few sweets! I tend to delve into the "glass is half empty", but it isn't right..."my glass should always be half full"...and the best is yet to come! as I write my noa bear is bothering me in the oh so cutest of ways...better luck with my Tuesday!

I Got A Man...

I love me some old school hip hop...old Outkast, Black Eyed Peas before Fergie, LLCoolJ via Mama Said Knock You Out, Biggie, Tupac, Dre and Snoop, Ice Cube, even Too Short...and the Queen Latifah. So many acts to name, such a bad memory...Oh yeah, Tribe Called Quest, maybe my all time favorite. I love when my local station does their lunchtime "old school" block of three tunes. I crank it, or turn it up a little when the kiddies are riding with me...but, if I'm riding solo better watch out people. I groove and drive. This song came on the other day, and I forced the munchkins to groove along with me. We all need that music that just gets us moving, and puts a smile on our face, even the silly songs...Life is so hectic, and sometimes we just need to dance (not twerk)!!!

This is for "my man" who grew up in a time when KC and the Sunshine Band was grooving. Luckily, I am teaching him the ways.

Sweet Boys...

They have been so good while daddy has been away. Funny thing that these little boys can cause such chaos to my days, and then in an instant be so sweet and loving at the exact moments when I need it most. I love watching them in action, they make me smile and laugh and forget the nonense constantly. Thank you Noa and Keoni for bringing me pure joy (almost) each and every day...

Friday's Chaos...

The hubby has been gone for 3 days now, and the boys are rioting...They are actually doing pretty well, but I didn't have a second to enter the realm of the blogging world yesterday. I thank my husband for giving me those moments in the day that I can read other blogs and post myself.

So here are a few pics from my outfit earlier in the week. I think I wore it for all of 30 minutes before it had berry smoothie all over the top. Thank you Noa Bear!

my 3 year old photographer was so tired from all the busy photo shoots he has been working as of late, he is in high demand on the island...he he! this was a struggle from beginning to end. sorry for the poor quality. I am going to study up on photoshop type sites on sunday when my hubby gets home. but I love Keoni for trying!

 

outfit details-flower fake but pretty, shoes-converse, leggings-zara, top-old but lovely Liberty for London for Target (I got 3 of their tops when Keoni was an infant for like 5 dollars each on clearance)...don't wear this top much, but everytime I do I am reminded of how I love Liberty for London.

Fall Sleeves...

It may be 80 degrees here in Kona. I may be fanning myself as I drink ice cold lemonade. My boys may be wearing only their birthday suits as they play in our little pool on the grass...but it isn't stopping me from envying fall clothes...and in general fall. I know I have stated it before on my blog, but oh how I miss the seasons. I am especially wanting to wear long sleeves lately, not necessarily sweaters yet...just a nice lightweight and long sleeve top to go gallivanting to the park with.

I think this is the most me in present times. I would wear this all day to play with the kids, tidy the house and cook. I would feel comfy, but also a little "spunky"...I would add a little accessory flare or a fun headband!

dancing on my own...

Kings of Leon have become mainstream...can I fault them? They are so talented, and deserve success...but, when you love a band when no one else knew of them it makes you a little sad to see teeny boppers fawning over them. And most of them cut their hair off! Still, they rock...and they cover one of my favorite Robyn songs...good video and song for the day. Happy trails this weekend!

Baby Inspiration...

If my hubby and I were a tad more financially stable, maybe 5 years younger...living where we hope to be in 3 years...than maybe we would consider the idea of another bundle of joy. I would love to try for a little girl. I need a girl to balance out the testosterone in my family. But we are just trekking on, in love with our 2, my stepson who is almost an adult, and stealing cute glances and blowing kisses to other sweet babies we see out and about. I saw these two things on http://www.zara.com/us/ and immediately got baby fever until my noa bear starting throwing a tantrum and I was happy I didn't have another to tend to in the moment!

This top just makes me feel good! Such my style, comfy, frilly, and my boys said "pretty"...got some fun clearance sunglasses at target to add some flair...I am ready for the weekend!

Rainy Day Fund...

I may have stolen a bit of loot from my rainy day fund for one or two items at ASOS. They were both on sale for quite cheap, and I keep getting whispers in my ear that I need to purchase their particular brand. So, after my munchkins went to sleep I may have spent $30 or $40 dollars. I buy everything on sale/clearance or thrifted so I am justified right? Something or things may have been snagged from the pictures below for Merdy's collection...but all are beautiful and if I had the money I would be greedy...I would have ordered them all!!! Do you have a favorite? What do you think I chose? Do you ever feel super guilty shopping for clothes when you know you should save it for that rainy day?

 Now I have a package to look forward to at the end of the month!



Little Moments...

 My baby bear is so cute, but that darn couch isn't...my hubby is heading off to Oahu for a week of work and helping his brother...he promises we will get rid of it upon his arrival home. I may have to chop it into wood for a campfire before then. I think he got that thing in 1975 before I was even born...ughhhh!

 Noa wanted to look like a warrior...my hubby said he looks like a dr. seuss character...my little freegan!

Week's Best...

These are 5 things I have been enjoying already, and plan on continuing to enjoy throughout the week. Life's simple pleasures...

 working away on my jewelry craft...took more pictures and have something fun planned for later in the week...hint-free jewelry!

 decided to re-watch some of my favorite episodes of the past 2 seasons recently, still have a few more to watch...Lena Dunham and the entire cast are hilarious. and I love these guys. a little torn up about the exit of Charlie...nnnooooo!

 listened to this song by Bright Eyes today, and may listen to it manana...he is brilliant.

 we got a lot in our garden, and the hubby and I plan on creating some kale masterpieces...

our friend Howard's farm has been dry of lemons lately, but he just gifted us with a fresh bag. so hot here lately, the hubby and I are drinking tons of homemade lemonade in the afternoons to cool off.
